brass knuckles

brass knuckles
A weapon used for offense and defense, worn upon the hand to strike with as if striking with the fist. When first known and used, the weapon was commonly made of brass, but it is now made of steel, platinum or other heavy metal, as well as of brass, but it retains the name of brass knuckles, no matter of what material it is made.
