personal service contract
A contract for the furnishing of services by the promisor only, that is, services to be performed by no person other than the promisor. Illustrations of such contracts ordinarily given are: a master's contract to instruct his apprentice; an author's contract to compose a particular work; a contract of a physician or an attorney at law to render professional services.
