perpetration of felony
The commission of a felony. Under the usual statutory provision that homicide committed in the perpetration of a felony is murder in the first degree, where the homicide is committed within the res gestae of the felony charged, it is committed in the perpetration of, or attempt to perpetrate, the felony.
