mystic testament

mystic testament
A term apparently peculiar to the state of Louisiana, referring to a so-called secret will for the execution of which there are statutory requirements distinctive to such form of will, concerning the closing of the instrument by folding it or the placing of the instrument in an envelope and the signing, sealing, and attestation of the folded instrument or envelope.
