A list of all the goods in a mercantile establishment, or in a department of a mercantile establishment, sometimes with the values of the items listed, such being prepared at regular times for the purpose of ascertaining the net worth of the store. A mere list of the items of personalty included in a sale-not in itself, a bill of sale. 46 Am J1st Sales § 452. A list of items included in a shipment, usually forwarded by mail to the purchaser or consignee. See inventory.
