A peddler who makes noise in advertising his product, either by crying or shouting, or by ringing of bells, or by other means. 40 Am J1st Ped § 3. One who not only carries goods for sale, but seeks for purchasers, either by outcry, by actual exhibition or exposure of the goods, by placards or labels, or by a conventional signal, such as the sounding of a horn for the sale of fish.
