To follow or come after, sometimes importing a connection with that which precedes, as where a statute provides that one who administers a drug to a woman pregnant with a quick child, with intent to destroy the child, is guilty of manslaughter if the death of such woman "ensues." 26 Am J1st Homi § 196.
